Baccarat Rules

Punto banco is played with 8 decks of cards in a dealing shoe. Cards below 10 are counted at face value and with 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is 1. Bets are made on the 'bank', the 'player', or on a tie (these are not actual people; they just represent the 2 hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the 'banker' and 'player'. The score for every hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is discarded. For example, a hand of five and six has a score of one (5 plus 6 equals 11; ditch the initial 'one').

A additional card will be given based on the following rules:

- If the player or bank has a value of 8 or nine, both players stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or less, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player stays, the banker hits on a value less than five. If the gambler hits, a chart is used to see if the bank stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Winning wagers on the house pay out 19:20 (equal cash minus a five percent commission. Baccarat Chemin de Fer Strategy

As with all games punto banco has a handful of general misconceptions. One of which is similar to a misconception in roulette. The past isn't a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Keeping track of previous outcomes at a table is a poor use of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our stationary desires.

The most established and definitely the most acknowledged scheme is the one-three-two-six method. This plan is used to build up profits and limit losses.
