When are You Going to Understand that Hold'em Poker is All About Position!

I have been wagering poker now for about five years, I have played cards my entire life starting with games of Gin Rummy for pennies with my Grand Mother, to all of the various styles of Brag and basic random games such as Go Fish, Crash and one so gracefully called, card on head casino game. I used to usually win, whatever casino game we were playing and even though I liked to call it skill, it was very tough to justify thinking about the randomness of the games we were wagering, so I was over joyed to accept I was having an extended run of luck.

Then came Poker, or much more importantly Hold'em Poker, made famous by a bunch of Texas card players in the 1960's and since developed into one of the largest card phenomena ever witnessed. Poker is totally the new black, it is uber awesome with a lot of of the world's top superstars racing to have their name connected with it. Just a quick flick through the TV channels these days and it is possible to not escape from poker, and obviously there's the fabled World Series of Poker, the Holy Grail and Mecca all combined into one for each single gambler.

So with all of this fresh discovered recognition, with so quite a few Tv shows devoted to poker, and magazine and book shelves filled up with quality material written by the leading minds on poker, when are men and women going to understand that this casino game is all about position!?

Perhaps I really should not receive so worked up about this, after all the more folks who wrestle with the delicate tactics and strategies necessary for winning consistently at Texas holdem, the much better it is for everyone else, correct? I mean, if they can't be troubled to look at all of the readily available information about why position is so significant, why need to we bother? We really should just be glad there is an additional fish at the table!

It is true, we must not encourage inactivity with advice and aid. On the other hand, I liken this to a welcoming casino game of football. Naturally the stakes are not so great, except when you observe a player having difficulties, you help them, offer them a number of advice, ultimately showing them a method to love, like and appreciate the casino game as much as you. I'm calling on all house players to do a similar thing with their poker buddies who have not quite got a handle on the nuances of betting position. Guide them to grow their respect for the game. Of course, do not attempt to try this one in your community betting house, the sharks will not take pleasure in you teaching their lunch how to swim!
